Tomb Raider: The Myth of El Hawa fills the plot gap between the events of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. The events should've been explained in the latter game but due to a difficult production cycle a lot of content was cut out. Ash worked with Murti Schofield, the writer for Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness and Jonell Elliott, the voice of Lara Croft, to create an animated film that would finally provide a final and canon explanation of the events.
